STeLLa is...

2 MoNTHS oLD!! Can you believe my lil' girl is growing so fast?? wow! This month she went through a colicky phase. If she wasn't eating or sleeping, she was screaming bloody murder. It was so sad to watch her while her tummy was hurting. Poor Patrick was the one who had to deal with it while I was at school. So, I brought her to Dr. Redenbaugh, one of our professors, who treated her with the BEST (Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique). A couple of treatments, along with me changing my diet, worked wonders! She has been a much happier, non-colicky baby. She's even discovered her tongue, which is so cute. The only down-side to the tongue thing is she wants to play when we are trying to nurse. She's also started smiling and trying to coo. She even sleeps 5-6 hours when we first lay down for bed (she only woke up once last night to feed).

She is definately an amazing blessing. Patrick is such a great Daddy too! He does so much for her and is a really big help to me. I don't know what I'd do without him. I'm enjoying every bit of motherhood & watching Stella grow. I look forward to the months ahead with the changes she will make.

4th of July

We went to MS for the 4th of July. Alan & Sheena were going to surprise Patrick for his birthday, but I accidently let the cat out of the bag. Before I could even redeem myself, he knew. It was only a short trip & we didn't have time to go anywhere, but it was worth it. It took most of the day Friday to recouperate from the long drive (it took 12 hours instead of 8 w/ the baby). We went out to dinner Friday night for Patrick & Dustin's birthdays. Saturday, there was a cookout @ my Aunt Gina & Uncle Eddie's. We boiled 75 lbs. of shrimp and had various other great foods. Amber, Kael, Kane, Britneye, Nathan, Kylan, & Christian came to visit us @ the cookout. That's what I call real good friends :) Sunday we got up early and said our goodbyes to Alan & Sheena. Then, we packed up the car & said goodbye to Paw Paw Scott & headed to my Granny's house. There we were greeted by tons of other family who had never seen Stella in person. It was so fun! We got on the road around 3:30, made a quick stop @ the end of Barth Rd. & at the Watermelon Patch (which I was disappointed @ their selection of shoes).. and we were TX bound again!

Happy Father's Day

What Makes a Dad?

The joy of a morning in spring,

The faith of a mustard seed,

The patience of eternity,

The depth of a family need,

Then God combined these qualities,

And there was nothing more to add,

He knew his masterpiece was complete,

And He called it - Dad.

Happy First Father's Day to a man who is a wonderful new father. Stella is lucky to have a Daddy who is fun, compassionate, loving, helpful, protective, supportive, & all the other things that make a great parent. I am so excited to watch you grow as a husband and a father. These are some of the best days of our lives, and we will cherish them deeply. I love you!

Happy 1 Month!

Stella is 1 month old already!! My how time flies!! In this first month, she was brought home from the hospital, seen by a cardiologist, met her grandparents & great grandparents on my side, met her Uncle Dustin, Aunt Gina, cousins Heather, Mary Helen, Josh, Hannah, & Noah. She has been adjusted 4 times, been to Bass Pro. & Logan's Roadhouse. Met Chad, Sarah, Nina, Dean, Shirley, Arie, & her BFF Logan, & had her first dinner date with Logan (they had a bottle together lol). Met tons of friends & other family.

She has managed to root herself off the bed, which was a scary thing for us!! She's projectile pooped on the carpet.. and pooped & peed on me a few good times. She lost her umbilical cord @ 19 days & then had her first real bath.

There has been so much that has already changed this month. She's growing like a weed. Her lil' personality is precious.. Her eyes are still blue, & her hair is starting to turn auburn. :)

I love this lil' girl so much!

Granny & Papa Visit

My Granny & Papa came to visit their FIRST great grand-daughter. Stella is the first girl to be born on that side of the family in almost 20 years! They couldn't have been more proud (especially since Stella is named after my Granny).

I enjoyed their time that they spent with us. They sure did spoil Stella & leave though!! I guess that's what grandparents do :)
I'm sure it was well worth the 8 hour drive! I can't wait for them to see her again!

Logan Tanner

The proud Daddies & their babies!!
Our best friends here in TX, Chad & Sarah, had their baby boy- Logan Tanner - yesterday June 2 @ 9:51 am. He weighed 7 lbs. 4 oz & 19 inches long. He's chubbier than Stella, but she's got almost 2 inches on him! These little ones are definately a blessing. I can't wait to see them grow together!

~*Stella Nicole*~

Stella Nicole was born May 13 @ 5:45 am. She weighed in at a whopping 6 lbs. 11 oz. (hehe) & 20 1/2 inches long.

We are so blessed with this beautiful baby and are so in love with her!
She's a week and one day old, and I'm already seeing how fast time flies by!!
